Portuguese ceramics in the Atlantic trade (16th-18th centuries)

This project aims to understand the importance that Portuguese coarse wares had in the daily life of England and its colonies in the Early Modern Age and how it influenced the socioeconomic relations between countries in the North Atlantic. This project will have an important impact in the study of post-medieval ceramics in Portugal as well as in other countries considering the frequent discovery of these objects in several parts of the world.
