Alice Cunha holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the NOVA University of Lisbon. Since 2008 she has been a researcher at the same University, currently in the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI-NOVA), where she works on European Integration, an area in which she has published extensively, being the author of over 100 scientific publications. She participated in several international research projects. She has also organised more than 30 scientific events and participated as a paper-giver in 36 conferences via call for papers and 23 by invitation. Her main research interests are related to the history of European integration, enlargement studies, Europeanization and European funds. She is a member of the European Union Liaison Committee of Historians.
